BOARD OF DIRECTORS

 

The objective of the Webster County Agriculture Associate (WCAA), a/d/b/a Webster County Fair Board, is to promote agricultural and domestic science within the general public, to improve agricultural conditions and understanding of those current and future conditions of agriculture, to promote educational work amoung the agricultural community as well as the general public, to hold such 4-H and FFA fairs and exhibits as are usually and ordinarily held and promoted by agricultural societies, to FFA club work, to receive gifts and donations, to sell, reinvest, managaer, use, disburse, and distribute income and/or principal of the same in accordance with the directors and intent of the institutions.

To accomplish this, the WCAA sponsors entertainment and rents out bilding space througout the year while also seeking government funding and local donations to help keep the entire fairgrounds a safe and inviting place for all who visit.

The WCAA Board of Directors in made up entirley of volunteers from Webster County. The Board works to have between 12 and 15 members that serve a three year term as voted on by the general public at the annual meeting held on the 2nd Tuesday of the month in September. Board members are highly involved in the day to day operations of the Fairgrounds as well as serving on various committees. Each Director also attends the monthly Board of Directors meeting which is open to the public the 2nd Tuesday of each month.
